I interrupt my current series for none other than...
A Follow, Thought & A Tune, my new Friday staple.
๐Follow๐
Mark B. Logan, MPA, NIGP-CPP, CPPO, C.P.M., CPPB, A.P.P.
Mark has a wealth of procurement knowledge, which shines through in his content.
Heโs engaging, insightful, and often one of the first to share thoughtful, constructively critical comments.
Definitely worth following on here.
๐Thought๐
Everyone bangs on about cost savings.
Cool. Shave a few quid here and there. Clap yourself on the back.
But sometimes, its the intangible that drives the most value.
Spotting risk before it burns the business.
Backing the supplier whoโll still be standing in five years.
Building a partnership that makes you both stronger.
Procurement isnโt bargain hunting in a pound shop.
Itโs future-proofing the business with every decision.
๐Are you chasing pennies, or are you shaping tomorrow?

Song: Breaking The Law
Album: British Steel
Band: Judas Priest
Fact:
Judas Priestโs British Steel (1980) was one of the first heavy metal albums recorded in a residential home rather than a studio.
The band rented Ringo Starrโs house in Tittenhurst Park (yep, the former Beatleโs gaff) and turned it into their recording HQ.
They even used everyday objects, like pool cues and trays of cutlery, to create some of the albumโs clanging, metallic sounds.
Thatโs metal in the most literal sense.
