Especially in procurement.
Iโm seeing more and more of the same recycled posts, AI-generated comments, copy-and-paste thought leadership, and, letโs call it what it is, straight-up plagiarism.
Itโs disheartening.
Because for many of us, creating content on here isnโt just about visibility, itโs an outlet.
A way to give voice to our profession.
A way to share what weโre learning.
A way to challenge bad practice, celebrate good practice, build our networks, and show that procurement is far more than POs and policies.
But authentic content takes effort.
It takes thought, lived experience, and being willing to say something with a bit of depth, even if it doesnโt fit neatly into a 6-line viral template with a dramatic one-word sentence every other line.
And thatโs why I want to give a shout-out to some brilliant, genuine voices in and around the procurement space.
People who are putting their own stamp on things and who are helping make this profession more visible, more human, and more valuable. ๐ช
Give these people a follow, a view, a like, or even better, get involved in the comments:
Gary Mander - the Jerome Flynn of Public Procurement

Mark H. - Ex-Procurement pro, but now a very thoughtful performance coach.

Oh, and Tom Mills & Tanya W. - no intro needed, the OGs.
The platform doesnโt need more bots.
It doesnโt need more empty โgreat post!โ comments.
It doesnโt need more beige thought leadership wearing a fake moustache and calling itself original.
It needs more people with actual views.
More nuance, lived experience, professional honesty.
So hereโs my small ask: Give authenticity a chance.
Read the longer post.
Back the creator whoโs clearly put thought into what theyโre saying.
Engage with content that has a bit of meat on the bone.
And please, for the love of all things procurement, donโt give in to the bots, the clickbait, and the LinkedIn karaoke.
Original voices matter, so letโs make sure theyโre heard.
